This isn't really a project; It's more just a place to put up any random graphic that might not be tied to another project. You can check out my artwork at my Deviant Art profile.
For vector drawings I tend to use Inkscape and for raster graphics I use GIMP. Both have their own toolsets that make them great for everything graphic related.
Isn't he cute?
He was drawn using Inkscape for the purpose of my iPhone having a new wallpaper

Yesterday I uploaded two new deviations to my Deviant Art profile.
I started drawing a happy landscape with looping hills without any real idea of where I was going with the piece
. Once I had some hills, I added a path and some trees and some clouds. The path appeared to lead nowhere so I felt I had to add something on the far hill for it to lead to; a castle seemed to be the obvious choice. The scene still looked a little flat (and not just because it was a 2d representation of some imaginary 3d space
) so I added some life with birds in the sky and some hooded stranger in the foreground. The result looked something like this:
At one point while drawing Lonely Traveller I had some dark and ominous looking mountains in the far distance but they really didn't fit the bright and colourful themes of the rest of the drawing. I removed them from that drawing but decided that they had a place in a more dark version of the same scene. I took the original drawing and made it more chaotic. The trees were all replaced with bare, dead branches. The bright, grassy hills and puffy, white clouds were gone and replaced with browned hills and brooding clouds (and some random, evil-looking mountains have sprouted from nowhere). The castle was partly razed and burning. Night has fallen and the same lonely traveller stands in the foreground. This drawing turned out like this:
Both works were created using Inkscape.
I have posted up two new graphic designs to my Deviant Art profile.
The first I posted this morning after drawing it up last night. I'm not sure where the idea came from but I felt like drawing a super hero standing atop a building during a storm... so that is what I drew. He was drawn in Inkscape over the course of about an hour. I had several versions of the drawing over that time (one of which has a bat-symbol style torch in the clouds) but I settled on this one.
This one I drew after seeing this piece of work by Pilpls. His drawing was bright and happy so I wanted to see what I could do with a similar drawing but with a dark and mysterious feel. The result was Eye of Eternity, drawn in GIMP with my Wacom.
Only 1 year to go until Kristen and I get Married!!! Now that we have broken the year mark, time should fly until the big day
.
I drew up the graphic above as part of a wedding site we are making for our guests (our theme for the wedding in winter... even if it is summer in December in Australia). The penguins are SVG, made in Inkscape, so I might make up a wedding wallpaper and put them up on DeviantArt.
I just uploaded some new art onto my Deviant Art profile.
I was having a play with my Wacom a few days ago and started drawing a dragon. Since then I have been adding touches to it here and there whenever I got bored of other things. I had been working on a background for the dragon to sit on but I thought I'd upload it as it was for now.
Hope you like it ![]()
I just added a new image to my Deviant Art profile. It is a random graphic I drew after having a look at a tutorial on drawing tentacles in Inkscape.

I just signed up to Deviant Art. To check out my gallery go to my profile page. It only has one image in there at the moment
